The New Center for Advanced Psychotherapy Studies serves professionals from around the world through conferences, courses and clinical supervision discussion groups via telephone. NCAPS is a learning center for post-masters practitioners in the fields of social work, psychology, psychoanalysis and counseling. Students are professionals with a minimum of 5 years post license clinical experience.
In bringing together advanced practitioners from all disciplines, backgrounds, and specialties, without geographical limitations, NCAPS offers professionals a diverse and stimulating learning environment. NCAPS places a strong emphasis on advanced study through student’s clinical case presentations, reflections and discussions with peers. Courses and Groups aim to study treatment dynamics, techniques, and interventions and to deepen understanding of human relationships and therapeutic effectiveness .
Groups and courses are geared toward attentiveness to practice building, presentation of new ideas, knowledge and synthesis of a variety of theories and practices, and are tailored toward understanding and meeting the specific learning interests and needs of each student, and developing a peer network, community and learning experience in the teleclassroom.
